Cheer Pressure

Lynn, Margo, and Paula compete with the cheerleading squad for who can cheerlead better.
  • Accidental Misnaming: Coach Keck constantly refers to the personal masseuse that she hired with the school budget, Dennis, as Hans. He tries to correct her, but she ignores him.
  • Bait-and-Switch: After losing to Jenna and the cheerleaders, Lynn aggressively confronts them, as though she wanted to confront her for winning. But she actually came over to apologize to them for criticizing them in the first place.
  • Break the Haughty: Lynn and her teammates are quick to scoff at Jenna and the other cheerleaders of being athletes, and eagerly make a bet with them that it would not be so hard. But it takes them plenty of practice for them to realize how wrong they were.
  • Character Development: Lynn, of all people, is the first one to congratulate the cheerleaders for their victory. In fact, she along with her friends would've accepted their fate of sitting at the back of the bus with Crikey if it wasn't for Jenna taking a third option.
  • A Day in the Limelight: For Lynn.
  • Ignored Raised Hand: After explaining to the team that she accidentally bought Crikey the kangaroo as a mascot, Coach Keck asks them if they have any questions. All of them raise their hands, but she ignores them all to continue her lecture.
  • Impact Silhouette: Occurs when Margo falls off of Lynn and Paula during practice and she crashes into the Loud shack.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Coach Keck was willing to let three children get in a trailer with Crikey the kangaroo, risking child endangerment. But she ends up getting to ride the VIP section with Crikey herself after Principal Ramirez found out about her abuse of the school budget.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome:
    • Lynn and her teammates, despite receiving training by Cheryl and Meryl to perfect their cheerleading skills, still end up losing the cheer-off against Jenna and her friends, as the latter group have been cheerleading longer and are thus more experienced.
    • As it turns out, using the school's budget on a personal masseuse and a real kangaroo is not a very good idea, as Coach Keck had to learned. Though she's incredibly luck she got to keep her job after that.
Cheerleaders: "Misappropriation of funds, not cool."
  • Take a Third Option: The Royal Woods Kangaroos and the cheerleading squad compete over who gets to ride in the bus and who rides in the trailer with their literal kangaroo mascot. Their compromise? They both ride in the bus, and Coach Keck rides with the mascot.
  • Unwillingly Girly Tomboy: Subverted. When Lynn and her teammates learn that as part of being cheerleaders, they need to wear skirts, they are quite dismayed. But later, Lynn says that she feels comfortable wearing them as they are quite breezy.
