Will plans a mature dinner party to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately, his party coincides with a far more popular one and the boys decide to crash it.
This episode contains examples of:
- Birthday Episode: Will attempts to host a sophisticated dinner for his 17th birthday. Unfortunately, it's on the same night as a cool party. And it all goes downhill from there.
- Bits of Me Keep Passing Out: Jay is watching a porn film and sitting on his hand to try out "the stranger" when his mother and Neil walk in and he desperately tries to close the laptop and dress himself with his dead arm.
- Didn't Think This Through: Jay organises a stripper for Will's birthday, only to realise on the night that the five of them (the foursome plus Patrice) don't have enough money to pay her. Oops.
- Everyone Looks Sexier if French: Patrice, Simon's French Foreign Exchange Student, only ever seems to talk about sex, and a number of women comment on how attractive he is. He's the only one to get laid in the episode, with Charlotte.
- French Jerk: French exchange student Patrice, who gets into a closed house party and shags Charlotte with no effort whatsoever, despite knowing absolutely nobody and speaking very poor, broken English. He also appears to be a racist, at one point spontaneously announcing that he doesn't like Arabs (France's most prominent ethnic minority). Will, the only one of the lads who can understand enough French to realise what Patrice is saying, is not impressed.
- It Amused Me: After Simon comes out from the toilet at Louise Graham's party, Jay pretends that Simon has made a mess of the facilities in front of Carli. When Simon calls him out and asked why he did it, Jay responds that it was funny.
- Mistaken for Paedophile: Jay and Neil force Simon to ask out some girls on the street to Will's party; turns out they're eleven. Cue them calling them paedos and getting their older brother to beat them up.
- Wild Teen Party: At Louise Graham's "Sexy Soiree" that the boys manage to gatecrash, the wildest thing we see happen is Charlotte in bed with Patrice and the implication that Donovan beats the shit out of Patrice for it. Neil, Simon and Jay end up standing around talking to nobody, as they know very few people there note . What partying is shown just basically involves everyone sitting in random spots around the house drinking.
