"Goodbye, Mr. Gordon" is an episode in the seventh season of The Golden Girls.

- When Rose tries to get Dorothy and Blanche on a talk show panel that turns out to be about "Lesbian Lovers of Miami", she's met with refusal, but she manages to cajole them into it with a threat that, if she fails to get them on the show and end up getting fired, she'd be reduced to, in her own words, "be stuck at home all day with nothing to do... except tell St. Olaf stories".
- While Dorothy and Blanche are tasked with answering questions from the audience during the talk show, Sophia, who attends as an audience member, tries to give Dorothy grief by asking her how her relationship has made her mother feel. Dorothy gets her to shut up by saying she'll find out after visiting her mother at "the home" (code for Shady Pines).Sophia: No more questions.

Blanche and Dorothy are mistaken for a lesbian couple on a daytime TV talk show.note A man interested in Blanche claims she's only "like this" because she's never been with a "real man". - Exact Words: Rose has Dorothy and Blanche as guests on a talk show panel that she's arranged, which turns out to be about "Lesbian Lovers of Miami." When the girls take her to task for this, Rose says she didn't know it was going to be lesbian-themed: the producers asked for "two women who love each other and sleep together," pointing out there have been incidents where they've shared a bed and thus slept together before.
