Go To

Original air date: 7/2/2022

Production code: 119b

Molly, Libby and Scratch are determined to see a rare comet pass through Brighton, but they'll have to overcome a load of obstacles first, from Libby's Sleep Deprivation to a hungry Scratch to a herd of wild, rampaging buffaloes.

Tropes:

  • Animal Stampede: Molly is almost overrun by a herd of buffalo.
  • Breather Episode: A lighthearted episode about Molly hoping to make a "Forever Memory" with her friends before the Season Finale.
  • Continuity Nod: When Molly arrives at the country, she finds the place familiar. When she sees the buffalo, she recognizes it as the field where they did one of Sharon's "Gig Pig" jobs in "Mama's Gotta Hustle".
  • Going to See the Elephant: Molly wants to watch the Snowball Comet with Libby and Scratch when it goes by at 4:00 AM. After finding out that the light pollution in Brighton is blocking out the stars, Molly asks Sharon to drive them out into the country for a clearer sky.
  • Growling Gut: Scratch's stomach grumbles multiple times throughout the episode, due to having nothing to eat after sleeping through breakfast and lunch, and the group losing their snacks.
  • Heroic BSoD: A distraught Molly silently curls into a ball when she's forced to accept that she can't see the comet and make a lasting memory for the three of them.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Libby is seen sleeping behind Molly at one point. One moment later, Molly notices a stampeding herd of buffalo that is charging at her from the opposite direction. Libby is riding on one of them.
  • Oh, Crap!: The episode ends with Molly realizing that an angry buffalo is right behind her.
  • Sanity Slippage: Libby starts acting extremely weird due to Sleep Deprivation, acting like a character from her fantasy novels.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Tempting Fate: Molly brags that with less than a minute until the Snowball Comet passes overhead, nothing can ruin the moment. The skies immediately become overcast.
  • Troll: Scratch once made a man think he was losing his mind by repeatedly hiding his keys in different places.
