Players are divided into red and white teams. They individually enter dedicated room and where they can open their personal deposit of kongs (beans) and put beans into the vase. Team that puts more beans into the vase wins the round. Game is played until third win over 5 rounds. Remaining beans are exchanged for garnets after the game.

Player in the winning team with the most beans remaining wins the game. Player in the losing team with the least amount of beans becomes elimination candidate.

Outcome of each round is announced in the hall. Only losing team's number of beans spent is shown.

Goals of the game are three-pronged: on the first level you want your team to win and to that effect you need to put in as many kongs as possible. But to get invidual win inside the team you also want to save your kongs, so for example you can deceive your teammates claiming that that you put more kongs than you actually did. And on the third level, there is a goal to save up as many kongs as possible to the end to get garnets, provided you don't get eliminated in the process.

White team is Jinho, Sangmin and Yuram. Red team is Kyungran, Eunji and Sunggyu.

Before the game starts Sangmin volunteers to go to Red team and snoop on them. Kyungran asks if Sangmin wants to become a spy for them in exchange for immunity and garnets and he readily agrees. Jinho decides to be cautious in round 1 and tell his team to put in 4. Sangmin reports to red team that they need to put 5 so they do that and win the first round. White team's losing kong number says 3 which means Sagmin being Sangmin didn't put any.

White team needs to win no matter what in round 2, so Jinho decides to put 9 beans. Sangmin reports this to Kyungran and they put 0, saving their kongs.

Score is 1:1. Jinho asks Sangmin to go to Red team and pretend to spy for them while feeding them disinformation. Which is doubly hilarious because Sangmin is *already* a spy for Red team AND he is actually playing that other team as well.

Sangmin says to Kyungran's team that White team is going to put 8 in round 3, to ruse them into spending a lot of beans. They do that and get a second win.

Losing team's kong number shows just 2 which exposes that Sangmin lied to everyone (he is not pulling his weight in his own team and he lies to other team that his team is putting more beans that they actually do). It is blindingly obvious that Sangmin was playing both teams. Sunggyu in Red team is especially furious, because he wanted to work together with Sangmin in playing both teams but was betrayed by him along with everyone else. On Sangmin's own team, Jinho is fed up with his shenanigans and presents ultimatum that he cooperate or else he or Yuram will pick Sangmin for Deathmatch should they lose.

Sangmin complies and admits that he still yet to put any of his kongs in. Jinho realizes they now have more kongs than the other team and thinks over how to use this advantage. If Kyungran's team decides to go all-in in 4th round, they will get third win but at the cost of losing all their beans. Jinho is hoping Kyungran gets greedy and won't put many beans to ruse red team into splurging most of their kongs so that they can win in the last round by spending less.

Jinho's team puts in 4 kongs in 4th round and they lose because Kyungran prefers sure victory over potential garnets and instructs Sunggyu and Eunji to ditch all their beans and leave nothing to get joint win with the same 0 score.

Kyungran's team wins but Sunggyu (Sangmin's apt pupil in the art of betrayal) leaves one kong for himself and becomes individual winner instead of joint winner with Eunji and Kyungran. He gives immunity to Jinho hoping that loser Yuram will pick his "dearest sunbae" Sangmin for Deathmatch.

Yuram picks Eunji (to Sunggyu's visible disappointment) and they are playing Image Game Deathmatch.

Sunggyu feels guilty about Eunji going to deathmatch (it wouldn't have happened if he went with original joint victory plan) so he becomes her helper (though promise of garnets from Eunji might have been a bigger factor). Kyungran, Sangmin and Jinho are on Yuram's side. But Sangmin can't help himself and betrays one more time, secretly going over to Eunji's side. Eunji wins the game, eliminating Yuram.

Tropes:

  • Double Reverse Quadruple Agent: Sangmin betrays his own team, betrays opposing team pretending to be a spy for them and separately betrays Sunggyu who he partnered with in attempt to manipulate both teams.
  • Miming the Cues: Sunggyu and Sangmin secretly give cues to Eunji in Deathmatch.
  • Playing Both Sides: Sangmin recruits Sunggyu to work against both teams manipulating other players into creating a win for one of them with the other receiving immunity. It doesn't last long.
  • Treacherous Advisor: Sangmin ditches his hoobae Sunggyu.
