Battle of the Grandpas: When Frida's fun dad comes to visit, Hector tries to win back his grandchildren's attention.
Prankaversary: Ronnie Anne and Lincoln are set for a big day of pranks, and newbie Sid wants to join in on the fun too.
"Battle of the Grandpas" provides examples of:
- Boring, but Practical: Danny knows how to be the fun grandpa, but learns he's in over his head taking care of normal every day grandpa duties like cooking breakfast for the kids, which is where he admits Hector shines.
- Bull Seeing Red: One of Hector's attempts to get his grandchildren's attention is by reliving the bull-rider days of his youth. It backfires when Hector's belt bursts and he falls off the bull, exposing his red chonies. The bull is furious and rams him in the pompis!
- Cool Old Guy: Grandpa Danny, natch! He rides a motorcycle and is a movie stuntsman! He also knows how to make crepes and to rap.
- Epic Fail: Hector's attempt at flipping a crepe from the frying pan like Grandpa Danny ends up like this; Hector gets hit on the head with a frying pan and then the crepe.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Hector and Danny decide they can both be #1 grandpa at the end.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Hector gets like this when his grandchildren nominate Danny as Number 1 Grandpa!
- Older Than They Look: Danny is the older abuelo, but doesn't look it since he's not bald or gray haired like Hector.
- Prehensile Hair: One of the ways Grandpa Danny demonstrates his strength is by carrying Vito in one arm... and using his mustache to lift Vito's dogs.
- Strong Family Resemblance: This episode shows that Tia Frida inherited her head shape from her father.
"Prankaversary" provides examples of:
- Eat the Camera: Ronnie Anne does this when Sid tries to clean her with sandpaper, thinking it's toilet paper.
- Eaten Alive: Sid's big prank on Lincoln and Ronnie Anne is giving them the impression that she got swallowed alive by a giant python named Igor, who actually swallowed a roast turkey and a walkie-talkie, the latter which he eventually burps up.
- My God, What Have I Done?: The aforementioned prank gets Lincoln and Ronnie Anne to realize that they should have let Sid in on the fun.
- Never Mess with Granny: In Ronnie Anne's words, "never prank Abuela [Rosa] unless you have a death wish." Sure enough, when Rosa accidentally sets off a prank, she forbids Ronnie Anne and Sid from pranking the apartment.
