Come 'n' sit for a spell.

Applejack and an uncomfortable Rodan take a train to Appleloosa. Applejack knows how fliers like Pegasi tend to be claustrophobic, and she comforts him, assuring him that Appleloosa will be a nice place for him. She asks what his true form is like, and he describes it as a giant bird with scales instead of wings. This causes her to get suspicious, and he protests that he never attacked anyone since he got here besides Garble. In addition, he arrived in the north while Appleloosa is in the south. She apologizes for accusing him and asks why he volunteered to help. He says beside the fact the town is a wide open space, it is his responsibility to look after the other members of his flock; besides Godzilla and the others, he already considers the ponies part of his flock too. As the Element of Honesty, she can tell he's sincere and thanks him.

I remember my father's killer.

As Twilight Sparkle, Mothra, and Spike walk through the Everfree Forest, Mothra finishes her tale of Terra. Godzilla Senior was not evil, but more like a wild animal who would attack anything he perceived as a threat. One day, a strange darkness possessed him, causing him to actively attempt to wipe out humanity. Her quarreling mother, also named Mothra, and father, Battra, set aside their differences and battled Senior to defend humanity. Battra was killed in the process, but Mothra's mother was able to exorcise the darkness from Senior and drop him into the ocean. Then she flew into space to deflect an asteroid on a collision course with Terra. She didn't notice that some of Senior's blood and scales were on her. It came off in the void, and after absorbing strange energy, it regenerated until Xenilla was born, Senior's clone or bastard son depending on how you look at it. Xenilla considers Junior his little brother, but since Xenilla imprisoned him to goad Senior into a fight and try to usurp him as King of the Monsters, Junior hates him with every fiber of his being. After Xenilla was driven off with the help of M.O.G.U.E.R.A., Senior had one final adventure, battling Destroyah before passing away and making Junior the new King of the Monsters.

While telling the story, Mothra flinches several times. This is because she inherited her parents' memories. She vividly remembers her father's death at the hands of Senior and her mother's death at the hands of DesGhidorah. Twilight misinterprets her sorrow as her hating Senior for killing her father and the sight of both Junior and Xenilla constantly reminds her of him. Nonetheless, she and Spike give her a sympathetic hug, which she is grateful for. The trio arrives at the Castle of the Two Sisters.

I know that scent. Not good.

Applejack, Rodan, and the relief teams arrive to find the Buffalo tribe already helping the citizens of Appleloosa, which lies in ruins. Chief Thunderhooves explains they just came to visit and found the town like this. Braeburn's right front leg is in a sling, and he's furiously blushing as Little Strongheart helps him walk. Rodan sniffs his injured leg and is disturbed to find the scent familiar. Braeburn explains that one of the bird-like monsters bit his leg, but he managed to fight back and wound it. As soon as he did, the others monsters turned on it and ate it, then eventually left. He shows them its remains; it is the skeleton of a Gyaos. A terrified Rodan says they must send a message to Mothra ASAP.

Twilight and Mothra test some of Godzilla's hairs that they collected by dropping them in a petri dish full of indicator fluid. They are relieved to find they are not radioactive, meaning Godzilla and Xenilla will not poison anypony. Instead, the energy they give off is similar to wild, unprocessed magic. Now that the experiment is done, the two start going over the books in the room. Twilight has an idea and tells Spike to retrieve the book "Methods and Spells of Distance Dilation" from somewhere in the castle. He finds it, and the book says it was written by Clover the Clever and King Caesar. Spike gets confused by the name Caesar and is unable to pronounce it, but shrugs and walks back, not noticing the dozens of eyes lurking in the darkness.

When Spike comes back, he and then Twilight hold the book in a way that Mothra coincidentally never sees the authors. Twilight explains that there is a spell in here that allows long distance communication. By combining this with Mothra's telepathy, perhaps they can contact Terra. Mothra says it is worth a shot.

On Terra, Gamera is exhausted. After their rulers Godzilla and Mothra were lost to Dimension Tide, the good Kaiju were left in disarray. Likewise, after Xenilla and Destroyah were lost, his faction started a civil war with several of them eager to become their new leader. To maintain order, Gamera reluctantly assumed leadership as Godzilla's "Regent" until their King returns. He was shocked when his human ally Asagi Kusanagi told him about Dimension Tide. He nonetheless organized his fellow Kaiju in defending humanity and driving off the evil Kaiju running amok. He was fighting the Gyaos flock when Dimension Tide was hacked into and fired. He was able to hold on to a rock spire until the black hole dissipated, but the Gyaos were all sucked in. As he hibernates to heal his injuries, he holds on to a shred of hope. He can still sense the Gyaos, meaning they are still alive, which must mean his friends are still alive as well.

The humans betrayed us!?

Twilight and Mothra cast the spell, and an astral projection of Gamera appears before them. After getting over the initial shock and confusion, he is introduced to Twilight. Mothra explains how she and her friends are doing well and working on a way to get home, and how Xenilla and Destroyah are contained. Gamera explains about Dimension Tide, leaving Mothra nearly heartbroken at how they had been betrayed by the very humans they sought to protect. He then shares the incident where Dimension Tide was hacked into and fired eight times, and every Kaiju who was hit was a villain. As everyone in the room is horrified at what this means, the Gyaos flock bursts through the wall and attacks. The spell ends and Gamera disappears.

Twilight, Mothra, and Spike run through the castle fighting off the monsters until they make it outside. The majority of the flock is outside spreading a dark mist that blocks out the sun. The Albino Hyper Gyaos is perched on the roof. Mothra orders Twilight to charge her up with her power before it is too late. Twilight fires a magical beam into her, then watches in awe as Mothra returns to her true form.
