Attu Island (2 Days Before Dimension Tide's Hijacking)

Dr. Andria Young was an aspiring anthropologist. Shortly after graduating from the University of Alaska Anchorage, she came to Attu Island to try to discover when humans first inhabited the now deserted island. A few weeks ago, she settled in a research station along with several other researchers, including one who wanted to study the local bird population and an oceanographer.

Today, all the other researchers returned to the mainland, promising to be back in a few days, but Andria wanted to continue her work. She used a core driller to collect a strata sample, but the machine malfunctions and digs too deep due to a sudden tremor. She studies the sample and finds a metallic object at the bottom. She grows excited to find it is made of refined metal, from an era four times older than the oldest known tools.

Suddenly, the weather turns nasty, with freezing cold winds and a roaring sea. Terrified, Andria takes shelter in the station, only for the weather to return to normal.

Doragon

Andria spends the rest of the day doing her best to clean up the damage to the station caused by the tremor. She examines the object she found, and finds specks of rust. After testing it with a magnet, she concludes that it is iron, too pure to have come from a meteorite. She wonders how this can be, since it came from a rock layer about 70000 years old and yet metallurgy was only developed about 8000 years ago.

The power goes out, and she looks up to find it is midnight, so she checks on the generators. She looks at the sky and sees an aurora, but instead of looking beautiful, it looks horrid and indescribable, like the sky is bleeding and bruised. Scared, she manages to get the generators working again, but gets another fright when hundreds of birds fall out of the sky, dead, and several crash through the windows. She is so frightened and stressed that she is only able to sleep when she passes out.

Mizu

She wakes up around 2 PM the next day, and the station is filled with the stench of the dead birds. The sea is so rough that she doesn't want to risk using the boat, so she busies herself by studying the artifact, hoping her colleagues come back soon.

After rubbing off most of the dirt encrusting the artifact, she finds a human vertebrae inside, and concludes that the artifact is a helmet; the drill must have torn up a skeleton. Upon closer examination, the skull inside isn't human; it has massive jaws and fangs.

Excited at this discovery, she rushes back to the drill site, hoping to to find the rest of the skeleton. She finds the beach is littered with dozens of dead fish, sharks, squid, and whales. Also washed up is one of her colleague's hydrophones, devices for recording passing whales.

She takes the device inside and listens to the recording, but even at the lowest volume, she is nearly deafened by the terrified and pained cries of dying sea life. She decides she must get off the island ASAP.

Enjin

She tries the radio but only gets static, so she attempts to leave on her own, even though it is night. She stuffs the helmet and skull into her backpack and jogs to the dock, braving the freezing winds. It is too dark to see, so she fires her flare gun into the air and manages to find the boat. She tries to run to it, but trips and bites her lip, drawing blood. The flare dies, but she briefly sees something glowing blue under the water.

She fires another flare and approaches the boat, but a black tentacle rises out of the water and crushes it. An enormous creature rises out the water and moves toward land. Terrified, Andria runs back the the station, but she sees a green glow and a winged monster swoops down and smashes the station to pieces. She is trapped between the two monsters, and then the wind and waves abruptly stop.

The earth begins to shake and Attu Mountain starts to break apart. The helmet and skull roll out of Andria's bag, and they are the last things she sees before her senses cut out. Millions of screams fill her mind and she thrashes in agony, her last conscious thought being that she wanted to know what caused the ancient civilization to disappear, and now she is experiencing the answer.

A glowing sphere emerges from the ground, and the shadows combine and form a demonic ape. Enjin beats his chest and roars.
