When Abominable Snowmen Tyrone and Austin take Santa's magic sack, it's up to the heroic Action Elves to use their terrific toy-building talents to get that sack back!

Tropes:

  • Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Tyrone and Austin play the Abominable Brothers, two abominable snowmen.
  • Christmas Elves: Uniqua, Tasha, and Pablo play a group of elf spies called the Action Elves who help Santa when things go wrong at the North Pole.
  • Christmas Episode: The Action Elves have to get Santa’s magic sack back from the Abominable Brothers before Christmas Day.
  • Collective Death Glare: The Action Elves all glare at the Abominable Brothers when they answer the phone to Santa and he tells them he’s trying to get in touch with his elves who are retrieving his magic sack.
  • The robot from "Front Page News" and Boy the dinosaur from "Caveman's Best Friend" are seen as toys.
  • Eat Dirt, Cheap: One of the reasons the Abominable Brothers collect so many snowballs is because they eat them.
  • Elaborate Underground Base: The Action Elves have a secret underground workshop.
  • Felony Misdemeanor: Pablo’s reaction when they see what the Abominable Brothers have done with Santa’s magic sack.
Tasha: They turned Santa’s sack into a couch!
    Pablo: Sickos.
  • Full Moon Silhouette: At the end of the episode, Santa Claus flies past the full moon in his sleigh while calling out “Merry Christmas!”
  • Hulk Speak: The Abominable Brothers speak like this.
  • "I Am" Song: “Action Elves”
  • I Can't Hear You: A Running Gag throughout the episode is Tasha (a.k.a Flappy) not being able to hear the other characters because the flaps on her hat are covering her ears.
  • Kinda Busy Here: When Santa calls the Action Elves in the middle of trying to rescue his magic sack, Uniqua tells Father Christmas himself that now’s not a good time and hangs up on him.
  • Magic Tool: The Action Elves can build anything with their tiny hammers.
  • Meaningful Name: The Action Elves’ code names all coincide with aspects of their personalities or appearances: Uniqua as Snappy frequently snaps and says “Let’s snap to it!”, Tasha as Flappy wears a hat with ear flaps (which she often has trouble hearing through), and Pablo as Mr. Jingles has a jingle bell on the end of his hat.
  • Mini-Me: The Action Elves make the Abominable Brothers little toy versions of themselves as Christmas gifts.
  • Odd Name Out: All of the Action Elves have secret Code Names: Uniqua’s is “Snappy”, Tasha’s is “Flappy”, and Pablo’s is…”Mr. Jingles”.
  • Saving Christmas: When Santa’s sack gets stolen, it’s up to the Action Elves to return it to him and save Christmas.
  • Snowball Fight: The Abominable Brothers start one with the Action Elves, although with the inclusion of the “Snowball Fight” musical number, it becomes more of a Dance-Off.
  • So Much for Stealth: The Action Elves are sneaking out of the Abominable Brothers’ igloo with Santa’s sack when Uniqua’s phone rings, alerting the brothers to their presence.
  • Special Guest: Conan O’Brien voices Santa Claus.
  • Three Plus Two: Three elves (Uniqua, Pablo, and Tasha) plus two abominable snowmen (Tyrone and Austin).
  • The Voice: Santa is only ever heard on the phone and seen in silhouette at the end of the episode.
