- Gaslighting: It turned out Edgar was doing this to Isabel, making it look like she was crazy so he could gain control of her portion of the family fortune.
- Hypocrite: Isabel spends the episode apologetic to blame Grace for Edgar's murder, which she thinks she did. As soon as Aniq has her realize she didn't kill Edgar and the cops show up, Isabel just goes ahead and blames Grace again.
- Maternally Challenged: Isabel openly scoffs at the idea she can just point blank tell Hannah she loves her rather than Hannah just knowing it.
- Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: It takes Isabel spelling it out for everyone to realize her wedding speech wasn't babbling but (as per Edgar's note) the lyrics to the song "MMMBpop."
