Travis gives his version of the night in the style of a Film Noir tale.
Tropes
- Bat Deduction: Somehow, Travis is able to go from "horse" to Morse code to crack the cryptocurrency scam and then how Edgar would fake his death and take on a new identity.
- Clueless Detective: Travis's "logic" is all over the map, often seeing conspiracies that aren't there. Downplayed in how he actually was the first person to figure out Edgar was running a cryptocurrency scam.
- The Cuckoolander Was Right: As nutty and wildly wrong as Edgar is on so many points, subsequent episodes will prove he was dead on believing Edgar was running a massive scam and was not the nice guy everyone else believes he was.
- Entertainingly Wrong: Pretty much Travis' M.O.
- He assumes Grace sent him the wedding invitation as a "cry for help" to investigate Edgar and that somehow the RSVP was meant to spell out "tech scam."
- He thinks Aniq bumping around the tables at the dinner was somehow a signal to him.
- Faking the Dead: Travis' theory is that Edgar planned to fake his death only for someone to kill him for real.
