A famous loan shark known as The Scarlet Panther has come looking for Puss in Boots' boots, claiming that they originally belonged to him.
Tropes:
- Battle Trophy: This is what Scarlet Panther wants with Puss' boots. By having them in his possession, he can claim that he killed Puss and took his boots as his trophy as an intimidation tactic.
- Clothing Reflects Personality: After switching from boots to slippers, Puss' personality changes from a bold hero to a more laid-back cool dude.
- Cool Board: Puss in Slippers goes around in a makeshift skateboard.
- Costume-Test Montage: Puss trying out new types of shoes to replace his boots.
- Loss of Identity: Without his boots, Puss has trouble being his heroic self. Artephius and the orphans don't even recognize him without them. Dulcinea assures him that he's still the same Puss, just not in boots. It only takes until he completely changes personality as Puss in Slippers, then has his heroic resolve tested by the Red Panther, that Puss comes to learn this lesson.
- You Keep Using That Word: As part of his Loss of Identity, Puss decides to start using contractions, but every time he says he's going to he uses a compound word instead, causing Dulcinea to question if he even knows what a contraction is.
