The Book on the Crown of Souls says that its power is reliant on an artifact called the Obelisk of Night, but the quest for that has to be put on hold, as the Sky God Taranis has fallen to San Lorenzo in a fight with the All-Father Toutatis, and asks for the help of the legendary Puss in Boos to save all of humanity from Toutatis' wrath.

- Blow You Away: At the end of Puss and Taranis' second fight with Toutatis, Toutatis blows them away with Fartillery the power of his mighty wind.
- Magic Feather: Puss gives Taranis a Super Friendship High Five to "transfer" his God-Cat powers to him to give him the confidence he needs to defeat Toutatis.
- Metronomic Man Mashing: Toutatis gives Taranis a beatdown in this way
- Real After All: In the climax of the fight, Taranis is able to awaken the fake powers Puss had transferred to him for real.

- Worf Had the Flu: Not wanting to admit to the Orphans' lies, Puss has to keep coming up with excuses like these to explain why he isn't as powerful as Taranis had been led to believe.
