Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 090

Go To

Rentarou and Shizuka are at a book loan cafe when the latter notices a book signing event hosted by the author of Circlet Love Story. Rentarou submitted enough raffle tickets to secure spots for the two of them, and so the two of them join the line of attendees at the event.

When they get to the end, they're shocked to discover that the author is an alcoholic gambling addict, who autographs one of his bottles to give to Shizuka. The girl is unable to articulate her thoughts to the author, who dismisses her feelings. Crestfallen, Rentarou apologizes for ruining Shizuka's favorite books, with the latter trying to force a smile but no longer able to enjoy the series.

Determined to return Shizuka to her usual chipper self, Rentarou confronts the author to try and convince him that the series is worthy of Shizuka's praise. His spiel soon leads the man to break down and confess that he's actually a rival author who was impersonating the author of Circlet Love Story as revenge for the work outselling his own. Returning the bottle, Shizuka leaves with Rentarou to find the real author.

The duo find the author and her editor asleep at a table near a window and explain the situation to them. As the editor leaves to confront the impostor, Shizuka gets to talk with the author, who regains her motivation to continue writing the series and gives Shizuka her autograph.

As they return home, Shizuka thanks Rentarou for everything he did for her before giving him a kiss.
