When the turtles are laid up with turtle pox, April is stuck being the one taking care of them. Making matters worse, Krang has invented a robot turtle capable of mimicking the Turtle's fighting skills, if they can get a scan of their brainwaves. Can the ill turtles shut down Metalhead, or will the turtles get deleted?
Tropes:
- A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Literally in this case. After Donatello reprograms Metalhead with all four of the personalities of the turtles, it randomly switches between each one.
- Bond Villain Stupidity: Just after Metalhead has captured the turtles, April and Splinter, Shredder suggests to Krang to have Metalhead kill the heroes while they are tied up and helpless, but Krang decides to have Metalhead bring them all to the technodrome, this gives Donatello the chance to use his turtle com to disable Metalhead and bring him back to the lair to reprogram him.
- Ditto Fighter: This is what Metalhead is designed to be, and becomes after the villains copy the thought patterns of the turtles and incorporate them into Metalhead.
- Sick Episode: The turtles were sick with turtle pox throughout the episode.
- Wet Cement Gag: At the end of the episode, when Shredder is pulling a Villain: Exit, Stage Left, Bebop and Rocksteady fall on him and cause him to get caught under a cement mixer that pours its contents on him, forcing Bebop and Rocksteady to haul Shredder back to the Technodrome in a block of cement and ask Krang if he has a chisel.
- Worf Had the Flu: Or turtle pox in this case, Metalhead overpowering the turtles while they're all too sick to put up a proper fight.
