Recap / Teen Titans Go S 7 E 17 Eebows

Go To

Robin claims he's gained the superpower of invincibility when he finds a part of his elbow that doesn't feel pain when he pinches it. After it turns out this is actually far more common than he thought, the Titans have a pinching party, which accidentally creates sentient elbow flesh called "EEbows" that rebels against them.

Tropes:

  • The Cameo: When the EEbows change reality to be in charge and demand that humans start bending things without them for their amusement, there's a brief scene of Bane appearing to bend Robin's back in the iconic way he broke Batman's.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: The EEbows rebel and remove themselves from the Titans, taking away their ability to bend their arms in the process, because they're used every single day to reach things and receive no respect.
  • Fusion Dance: After amassing enough other EEbows in Jump City to form a rebellion, they all combine into one giant EEbow in order to combine their bending power and bend reality.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: The EEbows have one power: to bend anything they attach to. This starts out small, such as by bending parking meters to hit the Titans, but when they all combine, they have the power to bend reality.
  • Here We Go Again!: After defeating the EEbows by exploiting their weakness of brittle funny bones, the Titans return reality to normal. The final scene is them talking about how the gags they made were real knee-slappers, actually slapping their knees in the process, and causing their kneecaps to rebel.
  • Reality Warper: After amassing enough EEbows for their rebellion, they combine together and gain the power to bend reality itself, turning Jump City into a dystopia ruled by EEbows.
  • Spark of the Rebellion: The Titans' EEbows not wanting to be pinched and demanding respect leads them to going to Jump City and amassing a whole EEbow army.
