The Teen Titans meet De La Soul and help them recover their music from a giant alien.
- Drowning Pit: Robin unwittingly activates one when he thinks he's recovered De La Soul's music abandoned in an empty crater on the alien's planet.
- Hurricane of Puns: When the Titans and De La Soul end up in a Drowning Pit while trying to recover the music, they make a series of references to De La Soul's albums, stating that the water is already 3 Feet High and Rising, and the Stakes Is High because if they don't act soon then De La Soul is Dead.
- Shout-Out: When the Titans detect that there's trouble in Amityville, Beast Boy first confuses it with Amity Island and asks if Jaws is responsible.
- Special Guest: The members of De La Soul voice themselves in this episode.
- Unwanted Assistance: When the Titans offer to help De La Soul get their music back after failing to prevent the alien from stealing it in the first place, their first reaction is to ask if they could call in the Justice League instead. By the end of the episode, they seem to end up on good terms with each other, only for De La Soul to ditch the Titans on the alien planet when the Justice League stop by and ask them if they'd like to join their team.
