Robin runs a smear campaign against the other Titans in order to be reelected as team leader. When Raven attempts to have a legendary politician teach Robin the true spirit of politics, Robin antagonizes him and they end up competing for the position.
- Apathetic Citizens: When it's actually time to elect a leader, the only votes cast are by Washington and Robin themselves, with Cyborg claiming that the rest of them don't actually care about politics.
- False Teeth Tomfoolery: The episode's depiction of George Washington makes use of the myth that he had wooden dentures, which fall out of his mouth a couple of times.
- Manipulative Editing: Despite nobody running against him at first, Robin films a bunch of propaganda videos that indulge in this, such as taking snippets of out-of-context statements from Cyborg and Beast Boy to turn them against each other.
- Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: The Title Drop comes from Cyborg and Beast Boy having no idea who George Washington is, thinking that he is "the grandma on the back of the dollar bill".
- Ripple Effect Indicator: After losing a post-election battle, Robin decides that if Washington now has to lead the Titans, that means he can use the Time Machine to go back to 1776 and lead the country. As soon as Robin uses the machine, the dollar bill Cyborg had earlier changes so Robin's face replaces Washington's.
- Time Machine: In order to teach Robin how to be a better leader, Raven bring George Washington to the present with one. At the end of the episode, Robin uses it to go back in time and become the first president of America in Washington's place.
- Toilet Humour: Robin debunks George Washington's fabled inability to tell a lie by getting him to admit that he lied about farting.
