Go To

In the special 100th episode, Raven just wants some peace and quiet for once, and accidentally makes a magical deal with the Whisperer that eliminates all sounds.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Batman Gambit: Raven tricks the Whisperer into giving the Titans' voices back by having her read a paper that says "Azarath Metrion Zinthos."
  • Banging Pots and Pans/Everything Is an Instrument: The Titans, minus Raven, start a band where they're banging on pots, pot lids, spoons and blowing jugs. Gets weaponized in the end against the Whisperer.
  • Deal with the Devil: Raven makes a deal with the Whisperer to let it take away all the sound in the world for peace and quiet.
  • Gasshole: Beast Boy exploits the vacuum of sound to take "silent but deadly" to a new meaning.
  • Loudness War/Loud of War: The Titans play their music at the Whisperer to make sound go back to normal.
  • No-Dialogue Episode: During the sections where it's dead silent, none of the Titans can say anything until Raven tricks the Whisperer into giving them their voices back.
  • "Oh, Crap!" Smile: Raven, of all people, does this after the Titans glare at her for making a deal with The Whisperer.
  • The Quiet One: Enforced by the Whisperer who can only speak in whispers.
  • Ratings Stunt: This episode was heavily promoted and even had a marathon play before it's premiere. Promos claimed it to be a celebration of the show hitting 100 episodes and claimed that it would be like nothing the viewers had seen before. This episode actually turned out to be an exact copy of "Puppets, Whaaat?".
  • Saying Sound Effects Out Loud: Because all the sounds of the world are taken away, that leaves a vacuum which the Titans use to make new sounds.
  • Toilet Humor: When the sounds are mixed up, punches sound like farts. Furthermore, farts sound like turkeys, which is shown when Starfire farts twice.
