Carnival games are always rigged, that's an inevitable truth. Mallory tries her best to win at one of those.
Examples:
- Circus Episode: The episode's sole location is a carnival. Its main plot is about a kid go gets scammed at one of the carnie booths. Her mom then gets back at the lousy carnie in a very baddass way.
- Mama Bear: Mallory's kid, Stephen, can't win at the shooting booth and has already spent all of his allowance. Matt, the carny, treats him callously, saying that he's bad for business. Mallory hides behind Obfuscating Stupidity (at handling the air gun) so she can shoot Matt in the hand. She then tells him to never mess with her kid again.
- Murphy's Bullet: A ditzy woman shoots Matt in the same spot on his hand three times with a BB gun. Subverted as it's strongly implied that she did it on purpose to get back at Matt for scamming her son.
