Chapter 73: Early Morning

In search of making 30,000 yen quickly to pay Sano, Nanako gathers all the job pamphlets she can find at Shibuya station and texts Kanji, who promises to reach out to her if he has anything she can help with.

Chapter 74: After School

With Ann having chosen the codename Panther, Mona shows the group into Mementos, the general public's Palace, explaining he's confident his lost memories and humanity are somewhere in the depths, and showing he can turn into a car. Joker drives the group down, he and Angel both having learned to drive years ago, and Angel shoots at an amorphous Shadow when she sees it. It turns into an Agathion, Angel gaining the knowledge from the Compendium, and Ann incinerates it quickly. Other Shadows close in behind them, and Panther grows frustrated when a Jack-o-Lantern absorbs her fire—Angel quickly killing it with ice from Forneus of the Hermit Arcana—and another Jack-o-Lantern is unfazed by her unskilled whip attack, Skull and Mona finishing it with their weapons. Angel assures Panther that she made mistakes starting off, too, and they're there to learn, though it's unclear how consoled Panther is.

Chapter 75: Evening

Yu texts Nanako that he'll be working late and eating at the office, so Nanako invites Ann over to enjoy the previous night's leftovers. Ann praises the food's quality and they talk about their families, and Nanako quickly realizes that with her parents overseas, she has no friends or family around besides Shiho. Ann admits that she needs a friend, that she hates Kamoshida and constantly wants to burn him with Carmen's fire, her own anger, for what he did to her Shiho, but struggles just to use her whip. Nanako promises to be there to help Ann get justice and mentions a friend who can help with the whip, offering to let her come by anytime. Ann is grateful, and they settle down to watch TV after dinner.

Chapter 76: Night

After spending a week slogging through data files for Sae, enduring the grunt work for Naoto and Teddie's sake, she heads to Tartarus Gym, a cheap gym frequented by police officers and lays into a punching bag. She then notices the other reason she frequents the gym nearby: its co-owner, Lieutenant Akihiko Sanada, an admirable policeman whom she has a crush on. They exchange small talk before Chie offers to show off what he taught her, performing flawlessly at his instruction. Akihiko praises her speed, control, and memory, but says she needs more power. To that, she gives one more combo, replacing the last right cross with a kick that knocks the punching bag off its hook and pins Sanada down. He takes it in good humor, and Chie apologizes for trying to show off. She offers to make it up to him by taking him out to dinner, jokingly adding unless that's improper. Akihiko grows serious and concedes the point, apologizing and leaving the gym before Chie can correct herself. Berating herself, Chie sees a text from Nanako asking for her help, and agrees to meet her the following day.
