Chapter 54: Afternoon
After playing in the tournament, Nanako has a gut feeling that talking to Shiho is the best course of action for getting the truth on Kamoshida. Meeting her in the courtyard by the vending machines but finding Ann with her, Nanako still asks again about joining the team. Shiho coldly rebuffs her, to Ann's surprise, and Nanako brings up that Kamoshida had offered to give her private coaching. Shiho take a second to hide the panic that comes into her expression, and threatens to break Nanako's hand, telling her she's nothing special. Nanako's resolve withers and she leaves.
Chapter 55: After School
Ryuji is surprised at Shiho's attitude, knowing her from middle school as a kind girl, and suspects Kamoshida may have tainted her. Nanako, though, suspects that Shiho is trying to keep her from getting hurt, and at Ren's prompting, decides they have enough evidence to start on the plan the next day. The group disbands, but Nanako remains on the roof, alone with her feelings, and works on the garden. A fluffy-haired third-year comes onto the roof and expresses her gratitude for Nanako caring for her plants, introducing herself as just Haru. The two garden together and become fast friends, Nanako's heart settling from the work, and she joins the Gardening Club as the second member.

Chapter 56: Evening
Nanako watches the latest episode of Phoenix Ranger Featherman, feeling her Guts improve.
Chapter 57: Night
Nanako dreams again of the battle with Kunino-Sagiri, watching Yu summon Saturnus and charge in before Namatame controls him, turning him against the others. Yukiko fends off Saturnus's fire and Yu changes to Arahabaki to defend against Kanji. Nanako closes and opens her eyes to find everyone gone, herself at her present age, and her younger self in front of her. The younger Nanako turns around, revealing yellow eyes as she urges Nanako to remember.
