A.J. Maclean comes to town to work on a music collaboration with Adam Evans/Rubberband Man. Unfortunately, Replikon, a Shapeshifting Bang Baby, decides to use Maclean's presence to prop up his own music career.
Tropes for this episode:
- Cannot Keep a Secret: After Rubberband Man tells Virgil that A.J. is in town and makes him promise not to tell anyone, he immediately tells Richie, and makes him promise not to tell anyone, either. It then takes all of 5 minutes before Richie reveals to Daisy and Frieda that A.J. is in town.
- Failed a Spot Check: Apparently, no one noticed that Replikon’s A.J. disguise was mirrored.
- Fangirl: Daisy and Frieda are revealed to be huge fans of A.J. Maclean. A.J. later gets chased by a whole mob of fangirls. Daisy and Frieda also become fangirls for Rubberband Man in the end.
- Food as Bribe: Richie was bribed with a double chili-cheeseburger with onions to spill the beans.
- Ink-Suit Actor: Replikon looks a lot like his voice actor Coolio.
- Spotting the Thread: Virgil realizes that A.J. has been Replaced with Replica when Frieda notes that his tattoos are on the wrong arm, the result of Replikon turning into a mirror of A.J.
- Suckiness Is Painful: A.J. helps Static defeat Replikon by putting headphones on his ears and playing Replikon’s own lousy music. It makes Replikon scream in pain before he passes out.
