''Troubled, is the planet Mon Calamari. Its races have divided. The droid army of the Quarren Isolation League moves against the Calamari council. Alone, the Calamari are no match. Intervene, we must. Master Fisto, in these matters, trust your insight, we do."
Thus concludes Yoda's opening narration for this episode, which is quickly revealed to be a message related to Master Kit Fisto via a hologram. Being a Nautolan, a race that is amphibious by nature, Master Fisto is well-suited for the aquatic nature of this battle, and indeed his expression as he dives into the Mon Calamari waters hints at some degree of excitement. The Jedi Master is followed by a squadron of Clone troopers, all possessing breathing apparatuses to help them keep up with their general.
The Republic forces are met with resistance from the Quarren army, who send out Manta droid subfighters, mini-subs, and sub carriers, not to mention battle droids and quarren soldiers. Fisto and his men remain undeterred, and hold their own quite well against the Separatist forces. Already a talented swimmer and not too shabby with a lightsaber, Master Fisto makes sure to put his force abilities to good use as well, taking out soldiers, droids, and subs left and right. He and his army also receive aid in the form of the Mon Calamari Knights, riding in fierce keelkanas.
It's not all smooth sailing, however, as the Quarrens soon bring out a powerful weapon that threatens to turn the tide of the battle: the Crab cannon. The massive and mobile piece of weaponry unleashes an enormous and blinding column of pure energy that shoots through the surface of the water and beyond, destroying several of the Republic's Acclamator ships that were floating on the water's surface in the process. All hope is not lost, as Master Fisto takes on the cannon by himself, first taking out the lasers mounted on its sides by redirecting their own blasts, and then using a Force Orb to destroy the cannon itself. The Mon Calamari Knights then push the cannon into a nearby crevice, where it lands in a pit of lava. The resulting explosion results in a massive wall of bubbles shooting out of the crevice, all the while Master Fisto flashes his signature grin as he admires his handiwork.
Chapter 5 contains examples of:
- Cthulhumanoid: The Quarren are this, with heads that are shaped rather like squid, and several tentacles around their mouths.
- A Day in the Limelight: This is the first episode of the series to focus on one of the ancillary Council members from the Prequel Trilogy. Coincidentally, Kit Fisto would be first minor Jedi character from the movies to have his own episode in the later Clone Wars series as well.
- Seahorse Steed: Mon Calamari riding giant seahorse-alikes and other aquatic creatures.
- Sea Monster: The Mon Calamari fought the separatist forces with knights riding on giant eels.
- Shirtless Scene: Kit Fisto while battling underwater.
