Go To

Air date: February 2, 2007

"Flatbottom's Up": After getting blamed for destruction done by Kyle and Salty Mike to Mrs. Flatbottom's house, Andy and Rodney have to do chores around her home. When Andy and Rodney realize that Mrs. Flatbottom has lemonade as a reward, they work harder and harder, but Kyle and Salty Mike want the lemonade too.

"Family Crude": Andy and Rodney must get along with Kyle and Salty Mike for the weekend while Andy's parents are out of town.

"Flatbottom's Up" contains examples of:

  • Enlightened Self-Interest: While Kyle and Salty Mike admittedly got Andy and Rodney off the hook, they did it out of self-gain as they just wanted to be rewarded with the lemonade.
  • I Can't Believe It's Not Heroin!: Mrs. Flatbottom's lemonade causes its consumers to hallucinate a world full of rainbows and happiness, going on an implied G-rated drug trip in the process.
  • Idiot Ball: Double-subverted. The "Stupid Ball" could literally be interpreted as this, as it essentially advertises itself as "the ball that goes where it wants even if you preferred it didn't".
  • Insult Backfire:
Kyle: What's next? Cleaning the old lady's sweaty socks?
Rodney: No, it's not next because we already did it. Next are her sweaty sneakers.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Kyle gets what's coming to him when he tastes the horrendous garlic sponge peppermint drink and falls into a pit of slugs while attempting to get the taste out of his mouth. Subverted on Salty Mike's part, as he actually enjoys the drink.
  • Misplaced Retribution: Andy and Rodney get blamed for breaking every window in Mrs. Flatbottom's house with the "Stupid Ball" when it was really Kyle and Salty Mike who threw it. Luckily, near the end, Kyle and Salty confess to their responsibility, pulling Andy and Rodney off the hook in the process.
  • So Long, Suckers!: Kyle says this word by word upon Andy and Rodney's exit from Mrs. Flatbottom's house.
  • Unishment:
    • The main focus of this episode. Andy and Rodney are willing to do chores around Mrs. Flatbottom's house to be rewarded with the delicious lemonade. Kyle and Salty Mike eventually get a taste and try to get themselves in the same state as Andy and Rodney.
    • While Kyle is notably disgusted by the garlic sponge peppermint drink, Salty Mike actually enjoys it.

"Family Crude" contains examples of:

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Kyle and Salty Mike act like nice guys around Andy and Rodney to prove to Mr. and Mrs. J that they won't do any harm.
  • Pet the Dog: At the end, Kyle and Salty Mike start to become hooked on the forest documentary along with Andy and Rodney. When Andy asks if they want to watch it again, the four boys simultaneously agree with joy, including Kyle and Salty, seemingly with no ulterior motive.
  • Vacation Episode: Mr. and Mrs. J go on their honeymoon.
