Berlint in Love
After watching the latest episode of "Berlint in Love", Becky calls Anya and announces she's coming over for a visit, when she gets there, she's smitten with Loid, and tries to sweet talk him, but Loid just tries to use her to gather information on her father, the owner of a major weapons manufacturing corporation. Martha implores Becky to behave herself and Anya gives her a quick tour of her apartment, which Becky says it's smaller than her doghouse, causing Anya to stop the tour. After Anya informs Becky that Yor is walking Bond, Becky sees this as her opportunity to sweet talk Loid. Anya reads Becky's mind, and when Becky says that she'll use her fortune to move into a castle, go to school via helicopter, hire chefs, and have their servants do their chores, Anya begins to root for Becky to become her new stepmother. When Yor gets home, Becky tries to get Loid to focus on her instead, but Loid just sees her as playing some kind of game. When Becky drinks her tea and pretends to be drunk, Yor thinks she gave Becky food poisoning and rushes her to the hospital, where after convincing Yor that she's okay, they end up in a local carnival. When Loid and Anya reach them, Becky deduces that Loid is attracted to Yor because she's strong, and when she tries to prove her strength with the "Test Your Strength" Game, but can't lift the mallet. When Yor gives it a try she breaks the machine, and Becky admits that she will never be as strong as Yor. Back at the Forger residence, when Martha returns to pick up Becky, she sees the girl taking some self-defense lessons from Yor, and while Anya admits that Yor is a more fun momma, Loid can't help but feel a bit of déjà vu.

Nightfall's Daily Life
As Twilight is on vacation on the Lorelei cruise ship, Nightfall takes on some of his missions in order to prove that she is the better candidate to play Mrs. Forger. Despite the fact that she is a capable spy, Nightfall still admits that it is still not enough to prove that she is better than Yor, and goes back to the mountains to keep training. When they both get back, Twilight and Nightfall have a brief conversation about what has been going on in each other's lives, and when Twilight gives her a souvenir, Nightfall gives him an intense look, making Twilight think she's upset over the present. When she leaves his office, Nightfall giddily skips down the hall while, mentally, chanting how in love she is with him.

Berlint in Love

  • Amazon Chaser: Becky thinks that Loid is attracted to Yor because of the latter's strength. When they end up at the carnival, Becky tries to prove she's strong with the "Test Your Strength" Game, but can't even lift the hammer. When Yor gives it a try, she breaks the machine and Becky admits that she can't compare to Yor. Back at the Forger residence, Becky takes some self-defense lessons from Yor, in the hope that she too can become strong, and maybe catch Loid's eye in the future.
  • Amusing Injuries: Yor gets hit by a car, and bleeds from her injuries, all without missing a beat.
  • Battle Butler: Loid deduces that Martha has a refined military background based on her introduction and how she's watching over the Small Lady of the Blackbell Family.
  • Black Bead Eyes: Anya has this kind of eyes for most of the segment, probably implying she's more an audience to everyone else's hijinks.
  • Buy Them Off: Reading Becky's mind, Anya learns that Becky assumes Anya will easily accept her as her new stepmother if she uses her fortune to buy a castle, go to school by helicopter, hire renowned chefs, and hire servants to do their chores. It was the mention of the chefs that motivated Anya to root for Becky to marry Loid.
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: Yor runs as fast as a car driving on the street and jumps atop buses and trolley cars while carrying Becky. As Yor sees that an impact is inevitable, she tosses the girl a few dozen feet above the ground, gets hit by a car, damaging it, jumps back up and catches Becky before she impacts on the pavement.
  • Continuity Nod: Becky's romance fantasies reminds Anya of Nightfall. Specifically, the latter's internal "I WUV YOU" statement when Anya meets her for the first time. This is anime-specific, since in the manga, only the usual stoic Nightfall face appears in Anya's mind.
  • Faint in Shock: Becky faints after meeting Loid as the situation is too much for her to bear.
  • Gibberish of Love: When Becky finally meets Loid in the flesh, she freaks out and stammers while introducing herself.
  • "I Can't Look!" Gesture: The tearjerker goodbye scene from the finale of "Berlint in Love" is too much for Becky to bear so she covers her eyes... yet she continues to peek through her fingers.
  • Pictorial Speech-Bubble: Anya is incapable of deciphering Becky's thoughts during the introduction with Loid because Becky can only think in symbols.
  • Precocious Crush: The episode focuses on Becky's crush on Loid.
  • Shaking Her Hair Loose: Becky tries this move on Loid followed by a Hair Flip and Eyelash Fluttering to get his attention. This gets no reaction out of him which leads to her doing some more hair-flipping while Anya joins her.
  • Imagine Spot: Anya peers into her friend's mind and sees a luxurious lifestyle that can be offered to her if she usurped Yor's position as the Forger wife and mother.
  • Literal-Minded: After Becky asks her rival how she successfully "shot Loid dead" aka steal his heart, Yor clarifies that she never shot him nor is she skilled in archery.
  • Mistaken for Disease: When Becky says she's drunk after drinking some tea, a move she learned from watching "Berlint in Love," Yor thinks she gave Becky alcohol, grabs her, and rushes her to the hospital.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: Becky and Loid try to make small talk involving the former's father and his personal life. Loid is hoping to use the conversation to get precious information related to the Blackbell Boss while Becky believes that Loid is interested in learning about her family life to get closer to her.
  • Pedestrian Crushes Car: As Yor rushes Becky to the hospital, Yor Tosses Becky in the air, gets hit by a car, destroying its engine compartment, gets up and catches Becky before the poor girl hits the ground, and continues running at superhuman speeds.
  • Playing Drunk: Becky, taking a page from "Berlint in Love", pretends to be drunk after drinking Yor's tea to get close to Loid. It does not affect Loid, but Yor immediately goes Oh, Crap! regarding what she believes to be a case of alcohol poisoning.
  • Sheltered Aristocrat: Becky has no clue what a middle-class Ostanian's home is like, comparing the sizes of Forgers' living room to her storage space and Anya's room with a doghouse. She also pays the vendor of the "Test Your Strength" Game a butt load of cash when the cost to play was far less then intended.
  • Show Within a Show: Becky's favorite soap opera, "Berlint in Love."
  • Spit Take: Becky scolding Loid for playing with her heart catches him by surprise and he spits out his tea.
  • "Test Your Strength" Game: Trying to win a prize for Becky, Yor breaks the bell off, even using just one arm and trying to hold back.
  • Thinks Like a Romance Novel: Becky, a six-year-old girl addicted to soap operas, thinks that repeating what she sees on television will help her win the heart of her beloved Loid.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: Becky gets one when Yor tosses her high up in the air and then catches her before hitting the ground.
  • You Remind Me of X: After reading Becky's inner thoughts of her love for Loid, Anya briefly thinks back to Fiona.

Nightfall's Daily Life

  • Call-Back: No matter how many missions she accomplishes, Nightfall is reminded of her failure to beat Yor at tennis when she walks by a tennis pro-shop.
  • Contrast Montage: While Twilight and his family were having a fun cruise vacation, Nightfall was busy accomplishing multiple missions and training herself to be stronger. Some of her segments contrast the more leisurely activities the Forgers did on vacation.
  • Filler: While generally, the split-cour format minimizes the use of fillers, this segment is one of the few examples of it in this series. The purpose appears to be giving Nightfall some screentime; otherwise she would have none.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: At the start of the segment, while Fiona watches her beloved Twilight shoot the breeze with his coworkers, the camera shows a "doctor" hiding on the side while spying on everyone. That person is Gerald Gorey, medical director of Berlint General Hospital.
  • Synchronous Episodes: As Twilight was sailing aboard the Lorelei as family man Loid Forger, Nightfall was performing missions by herself. Scenes of the Grand Cruise arc are cut into Nightfall's spy missions as well.
