  • Bad Future: Played for Laughs. Yor instantly imagines Anya turning to a life of crime after being expelled from school.

  • Call-Back:
  • Convenience Store Gift Shopping: Anya gives George a leaf that she found when everyone gives their personal belongings to him.
  • Empathic Environment: A black cloud passes over the courtyard as George, a human raincloud, is introduced.
  • Felony Misdemeanor: Yor is convinced that Anya would get expelled from school for forgetting her PE clothes. Even with Eden Academy's strict standards and Skewed Priorities, at most she'd gain a Tonitrus Bolt.
  • Frame-Up: George's revenge scheme involved trying to frame Damian for bringing a cigarette to school and then by pretending to be hurt by him.
  • Friendship Moment: Halfway through the episode when all the pupils decide to give George a present of theirs.
  • Imagine Spot: Two from Yor; She pictures Anya getting expelled and turning into a delinquent caricature, and worries that kids will ask her for homework help if she infiltrates Eden as a teacher.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: One boy tells his friend about a rumored spider-woman while the friend tells him that she doesn't exist. And then Yor traumatizes him by scaling the class window like a human spider.
  • Le Parkour: Yor resorts to using parkour moves to navigate the city.
  • Loners Are Freaks: Before he even began his revenge schemes, George was always known as a creepy introvert by the student body.
  • Manipulative Bastard: By the power of guilt-tripping and setting up sob stories, George manages to convince his classmates to give in to his every demand out of pity.
  • Missed Him by That Much: Subverted. It looks like this will happen when Anya and Yor almost pass each other across a walkway. Thanks to her power however, Anya knows Yor is nearby and stops to look for her.
  • Mistaken for Romance: Unaware that Anya is only interested in Damian for her father's mission, Becky believes that her friend has a crush on him.
  • Oh, Crap!: George gets this after his father explains that he's not out of a job and he won't sell him to the West as a potential slave. He wears this expression the next day when he has to go back to school.
  • Out-of-Context Eavesdropping: George initially overheard his father talk with a lackey about his company being bought by Desmond's group and how he won't have his president title anymore. What he didn't know was that Desmond was saving his pharmaceutical and that Mr. Glooman will still have a high-ranking job.
  • "Psycho" Strings: They are playing when Yor suddenly appears in the classroom window and gets spotted by a pupil who freaks out thinking she was Spider Woman.
  • Race Against the Clock: Yor makes it her mission to bring Anya's P.E. clothes before it's time for Physical Education.
  • Revenge: George declares a vendetta against Damian under the assumption that Desmond's company will soon takeover Glooman's Pharmaceutical leaving George's father bankrupt and out of a job.
  • Spontaneous Choreography: With the exception of Anya, the children at Eden's Academy are able to sing and dance on cue.
  • Stating the Simple Solution: Yor does consider asking a faculty member for help in dropping off her daughter's P.E. uniform. But she remembers her husband's words on how forgetting school supplies can lead to Tonitrus Bolts, so she decides to find Anya to give them to her directly. Besides, why ruin the plot?
  • Strong Family Resemblance: George bears a disturbingly strong resemblance to his father.
  • Super-Reflexes: The moment she sees a flower pot about to crash into the ground a few feet away from her, Yor manages to catch it with her foot and send it back to its original spot without damaging it.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: To cheer up his wife who's upset over her misadventure, Loid treats her to some lunch at a nice restaurant.
  • Unexpected Kindness: George has a change of heart during his guilt-tripping scheme after Anya assures him that the people of the West are kind people.
  • Wounded Gazelle Gambit: George punches himself and then cries out saying that Damian punched him on purpose.
  • Yes-Man: Deconstructed with Damian's coat-riding chumps. Their efforts to protect Damian from being prosecuted are tarnished as the teacher can't trust them to tell the truth.
  • You Owe Me: Damian coldly tells George that he expects to be recompensated for the juice box after seeing him at school the next day.
