SAMCRO make a trip to Tucson, AZ to set up their drug-running routes only to find out that the local chapter has been manufacturing drugs for a while beneath their notice. Gemma happens to meet Lt. Roosevelt's wife and befriend her, setting up a new source of information on the police's plans.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Even with their new relationship with the Cartel, Clay and Jax are furious that SAMTAZ have been selling their own drugs for several months.
- Feeling Their Age: Clay's arthritis worsens to the point he needs regular injections even on the road with Jax administering them in secret.
- Friend to All Living Things: Reggie runs a pet shop in Tucson, clearly enjoying it. Tig even makes him talk by threatening to stab a bunny with a switchblade.
- Go Karting W Ith Bowser: Linc Potter makes small talk with Gemma and even gets his cigarette lit up by her, but he introduces himself by a false name.
- Groin Attack: Clay squeezes Huff's crotch to keep him from leaving the clubhouse.
- He Knows Too Much: Little Paul found out about Huff and Benny attempting to make a drug deal and confronted them about it, and they killed him to silence him.
- Like Father, Like Son: Jax has taken up writing a diary much like his father.
- Secret-Keeper: Tara tells Piney about John Teller's plans to stop the gunrunning operation before his death, implying Gemma and Clay's involvement.
