After accidentally interrupting a Comedy Chimp photo shoot, a trash can-wearing Knuckles becomes tipped to replace him on his late-night talk show. However, its host will do anything to get his job back - and hatches a plan to do so that involves elicting the help of a certain evil genius...

- While Team Sonic fight the Badniks, Wolf Sidekick walks up to the stand to tell the viewers that the mayor has been on the news. Before he can say what the latter's been up to, a stage light falls on him, and the classic multi-colored error screen (with a confused walrus camera-man) is briefly shown.
- When Comedy Chimp returns to his position as the host of his show, he takes the opportunity to thank its sponsor, Eggman Industries, makers of the Kitty Funball. A few seconds later, it explodes, and said error screen is shown again as the episode ends.
