Tropes

  • A Day in the Limelight: For Sticks the Badger.
  • Attack! Attack... Retreat! Retreat!: This line from Dr. Eggman:
Eggman: As my great-aunt used to say, "No retreat, no surrender."
(A Motobug lands in front of Eggman and shatters)
    Eggman: Retreat, surrender!
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Sticks, as usual.
  • Comically Missing the Point: This exchange after Amy's vase breaks:
Knuckles: Hmmm. Maybe the curse broke the vase. Huh?
Sonic: Yeah, the curse of the lunatic badger.
Knuckles: Uh-oh. Now there are two curses?
  • Jerkass: The marmoset curse-breaker is an abrasive jerk who takes advantage of Team Sonic to do chores. And after Eggman attacks him, he spends the whole time complaining about Team Sonic making a mess while smashing Eggman's robots, which they're doing to protect the marmoset.
  • Safety Freak: Sticks' friends find out the hard way that the badger's idea of "protecting" them leaves a lot to be desired.
Amy: (heads for her door, a purse slung over her shoulder; she has trouble getting the door open, but successfully does so to find there's a bear trap blocking it) What the...? (the pathway to Amy's house is guarded by an assortment of traps; she activates her wrist communicator) Hey, Tails, is your house...
Tails: ...surrounded by Sticks's crazy traps? (the camera zooms out to show he fell victim to a trapdoor) Yep. Sonic, what's up with you?
Sonic: (while munching on a half-eaten sandwich) Just hangin' out. (the camera flips upside down to reveal he's hanging from a tree because of a rope caught on his ankle)
Knuckles: No, I haven't noticed anything. Actually, now that you mention it... (he looks down to find he's somehow gotten himself caught in a bear trap without even being aware)
  • Taking Advantage of Generosity: The marmoset makes Sonic and his friends make guacamole and do his laundry for him because Sticks believes that he can remove the curse she believes they're under.
Tails: I'm starting to think that marmoset is the curse.
  • We Are Not Going Through That Again: At the end of the episode, after Sticks believes the curse is removed, she and her friends come across a moss-covered, seven-legged spider, leading her to believe that they are cursed again. Fortunately, before she can send them on another perilous journey, Knuckles flicks the spider away and says "Curse broken!"
