The episode begins with Amy ordering a Meh Cheese Regal at Meh Burger. Dave the Intern gives Amy a Something's Fishy sandwich (with the fish still being alive), which Amy tells him that isn't what she ordered. Without even bothering to give Amy her correct order, Dave gives her the exact same Something's Fishy sandwich, much to Amy's ire.
Meanwhile, Sonic is playing a game of soccer by himself against Tails, Knuckles, and Sticks. As he kicks the ball, it lands towards Amy, who hits it with her hammer, causing it to knock Knuckles out. Sonic notices that Amy is eating a sandwich that doesn't look like a Meh Burger. Amy tells Sonic that isn't a Meh Burger, it's a sandwich that she made herself. Sonic then makes a pun about the sandwich being an "A-me Burger", which only Tails finds clever. Knuckles then decides that they should have lunch at Meh Burger, but Amy objects, saying that the people of the Unnamed Village deserve a much better restaurant. She then tells her friends that she's going to open her own restaurant, but Sonic tells her that she doesn't know anything about running a restaurant. Knuckles tells Sonic that not knowing how to do something doesn't stop him from doing it anyway. Amy decides to open her restaurant, and hires her friends as employees.
Amy turns her house into a restaurant called Chez Amy, and is impressed with Sonic and Tails, but points out that Sticks' boomerang isn't a spatula and Knuckles' hat is on backwards (which Knuckles tries to remedy by turing himself around. Amy tells her friends that she's going to teach Dave a lesson he'll never forget, but Knuckles proves her wrong by saying that he forgot every lesson every teacher taught him, and how to feed himself (which he shows by sticking a carrot in his ear).
Amy opens Chez Amy, with its motto being "At least we know what you order!", and this attracts the people of the Unnamed Village. This upsets Dave, who is determined to win them back. As Sonic serves the customers, Amy tells him that Dave is no match for good service. Just then, Dave announces that Meh Burger now has a drive-thru. Mike the Ox questions why they're at Chez Amy when they could use the new Meh Burger drive-thru, to which Amy tells him that none of them have cars. This doesn't stop the people from going back to Meh Burger anyway. Tails tails Amy that the drive-thru was just a stupid gimmick and it'll pass, but Amy decides to fight back with a stupid gimmick of her own; passing rocks outside her house off as "magic fun lumps". This wins the customers back.
The next day, Soar the Eagle reports on the competition between Chez Amy and Meh Burger, making various puns. At Chez Amy, Amy gives a rock to the Monkey Child, who tosses it at Knuckles, causing him to drop a bowl of Amy Sauce on his head. Amy tells Sonic, Tails, and Sticks that a good restaurant like Chez Amy is all about friendly service... just before she yells at them to stop being lazy and Knuckles to stop eating the Amy Sauce. Meh Burger is empty, but Dave isn't determined to give up so easily. He pulls out a bazooka armed with a Meh Burger, which he shoots into Lady Walrus' mouth. Lady Walrus compliments on how tasty the Meh Burger was, and all the people run back to Meh Burger. Mike wants a Meh Burger shot into his mouth, as does the Old Monkey, who wants his to be pre-chewed, as well as Lady Goat.
Back at Chez Amy, Amy goes over a plan she has to make her food bypass the customers' mouth and go directly into their stomachs. Sonic tells Amy that she's lost sight of her goal, but Amy tells him that she's doing this to destroy Dave and his unerring instinct from what the public wants. She orders her friends to bring the customers back, but they refuse and quit.
Back at Meh Burger, Dr. Eggman orders a Meh Burger, but as Dave tries to bring him one, he causes the burger to fall on the floor, then picks it back up. He serves it to Eggman, who finds it disgusting and demands he bring him a new one. Dave refuses and tells him he's on his break, which he spends playing paddle ball. A frustrated Eggman decides to go to Chez Amy, where Amy is now distraught. Amy asks him what he wants, and tells her revenge, domination, and destruction, after he gets something to eat. When she asks him why he can't just go to Meh Burger, he tells her he tried, but Dave wouldn't give him what he wanted, and his blood sugar was too low for him to concoct an evil plan to destroy him. Amy gives Eggman a sandwich she made, and he is very impressed with its quality.
Meanwhile, Sonic plays a game of soccer against Tails, Knuckles and Sticks. He pauses to ask anyone if they're hungry, and Knuckles, who now has two carrots in his ears, tells them he's full. After taking the carrots out, Sonic suggests that they go to Chez Amy, but Knuckles tells him that if they do, Amy will make them work for her and yell at them again. Sonic tells him that in that case, they won't go. Tails thinks that they should still go to Chez Amy, but Sonic tells him not to patronize him.
Back at Chez Amy, Eggman asks Amy why people aren't eating there instead of at Meh Burger. Amy tells her that she doesn't know how to keep them there. Eggman tells her he does, and can if she makes him her partner. Amy hires Eggman, as well as Orbot and Cubot, and soon Chez Amy is packed. Amy asks Eggman what the secret to his success was, and he tells her that he destroyed Meh Burger. Amy is shocked when she hears this, but Eggman tells her that as a villain, he has a limited playbook of options.
Eggman then notices Dave looking sad and out of a job, and tells Amy to rub salt in his wounds. However, Amy feels sorry for Dave and decides to hire him as an employee for Chez Amy, much to Eggman's ire. Amy tells Dave that as her newest employee, he should offer service with a smile, but Dave doesn't even try to smile. She also reminds him to give each customer exactly what they want. After she leaves, Dave asks if he can go on a break. Eggman tells him that he wants an Amy Royale, and Dave decides to take his break at that moment.
A little later, Dave serves Eggman a cold soup and a hot salad, and Eggman asks how the latter is even possible. Dave then mops up right near the table Eggman is sitting, and when Eggman tries to move, Dave tells him he can't, as the floor is wet and marked with caution cones. Eggman tells Dave that he'll stay if he gets him a sandwich. However, when Dave doesn't give Eggman his sandwich, Eggman decides to do so himself, and slips on the wet floor. He tells Dave to help him up, but Dave tells him he's on his break. Orbot and Cubot laugh at Eggman's misfortune, but stop when he glares angrily at him. Eggman finds Dave playing paddle ball, and tells Dave that he's had enough. Eggman then calls in his robots, and the customers evacuate. When Amy asks Eggman what's going on, Eggman tells her that he's going to destroy Dave. As a Motobug charges through the door, Amy tells Eggman that Chez Amy is half his restaurant before destroying the Motobug. Eggman tells Amy that he told her before that as a villain, his options are limited. He then decides to destroy Amy's half of the restaurant, and leaves as the rest of his robots surround Chez Amy. Amy calls Sonic, telling him she needs his help. Sonic refuses at first, believing her to try to re-hire him and his friends as employees, but when Amy tells him Eggman's robots are attacking, Sonic tells her that he's more than happy to help with destroying them. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Sticks destroy the robots, but Chez Amy is now in ruins, with Dave, still there, asking if he still gets his break.
The next day, Meh Burger is rebuilt, and Amy decides to leave the food service to the professionals from now on and kick butt with her friends. Dave thanks Sonic and his friends for rebuilding Meh Burger by serving them free Meh Burgers. Unfortunately for Amy, her sandwich is once again a Something's Fishy sandwich.
