Sofia finds a little book inside the book Aunt Tilly gave her, and she goes through a secret passageway to a Secret Library, which is full of unfinished books that need endings. Since Sofia is the bearer of the Amulet of Avalor, Aunt Tilly wants to pass down the role of storykeeper to her niece. Sofia's first story is The Tale of Wildwing Valley, and she needs to save Minimus's brother and save him from Prince Roderick of Borrea.

- "Gaining Confidence" Song: Sofia has "Do I Dare" during Merida's summon when she's nervous of her role as storykeeper before she gains the mojo she can do it.
- Gilded Cage: Sofia is tasked with giving happier endings to the stories found in the Secret Library. In the first story, she helps to rescue the pegasus Mazzimo, who is the long lost brother of her own pegasus friend, Minimus. When they find him, Minimus is confused as to why he would leave what he calls "the nicest stable ever." Mazzimo tells him that "A cozy cage is still a cage. I'd rather be free."
- The Reveal: Tilly is revealed to know the truth about the Amulet and its powers, because she was its bearer before Sofia when she was her age.
