While picking grapes, Sofia witnesses Carol of the Arrow and her merry band. But Carol doesn't like the royals because she doesn't think they do anything to help. Sofia hides her tiara and amulet to look more like a villager, so she can interact with Carol, who invites her to join the merry band. Sofia sees this as a chance to prove to Carol that the royals are helpful, but Jane, the second in command, is jealous of the attention Sofia gets from Carol, worrying she could replace her in the band, so she goes out of her way to make Sofia look bad and keep her from joining.
