The Elletaro Squad Defeats the Orge! is the 16th episode of Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure and is the 934th episode overall of Pretty Cure.
After returning to Sky Land, Ageha tells the story of Momotaro to Elle-chan.
Tropes:
- Art Shift: During the Momotaro segment, the art style changes to have watercolors and thick-line animation.
- Birthday Episode: Downplayed, but the episode aired on Tsubasa's birthday. Instead of a cameo from a past lead Cure, this episode has Cure Wing appear instead and the episode airs a special end card for him.
- Five-Second Foreshadowing: The first half of the episode shows the Cures joining Elle-taro to fight an oni. The episode's Ranborg is based on an oni figure Battamonda sees at a playground.
- Growling Gut: At the end of the episode, Sora's stomach growls as she asks what should be made for dinner.
- Mythology Gag:
- To Smile PreCure!. The episode focuses on fairy tales and has an oni (who bears a resemblance to Akaoni) has the main antagonist.
- The opposite of Undergu Energy is called KiraKira Energy.
- Shout-Out: This episode is based around the Momotarō story.
