Summary: Unable to hide the past any longer, Bowser reveals the truth to Peach and Meta Knight; Lucario, under the care of Mario, is forced to explain his side of the story.

Can be viewed here.

This episode contains examples of:

  • All According to Plan: Captain Falcon's way of passing off Team Falcon's losing streak all throughout the tournament: lulling the other teams into a false sense of security in order to dominate them. Luigi and Marth obviously don't believe it, but the latter asks to just play along.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Matrix manipulation, which can result in a trophy being permanently destroyed. Bowser reveals that both Queen Peach and Ganondorf possessed this ability, with the latter using it to kill Pichu and Fox.
  • Forgiveness: Upon hearing the truth, Lucario forgives Bowser and apologizes for his earlier behavior. Then the real Lucario wrests control from Mewtwo.
  • Growling Gut: Bowser's stomach growls right after being asked if he was still hungry by Fox...directly following his consumption of an entire Party Ball's worth of food.
  • The Reveal: Pretty much the entirety of Bowser's backstory. Notable highlights include:
    • Queen Peach, and her romance with Bowser.
    • How Pichu died at Ganondorf's hands.
    • The ability of certain trophies to dismantle a trophy's matrix.
  • Screw Destiny: Queen Peach: this is her only known motive for becoming a villain. Bowser as well: he states that he never had any intention of being evil despite everyone else deeming him as such.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: After serving as the Butt-Monkey team the entire month, Team Falcon finally scores their first win.
  • Tranquil Fury: Marth confronts Falco over Dedede allowing their team to continue competing, despite how it's technically against the rules since their Captain Falcon had already exhausted his ten life stock and the one currently fighting is a reincarnation. When Falco replies that Dedede thought it wouldn't matter due to how their team is dead last anyways, Marth, without raising his voice, immediately draws his sword at Falco's neck, offended at the BS Society's laxness. He directly questions why Link from Team Ganon went off scot-free, despite him being deliberately responsible for Captain Falcon's murder and depletion of his tenth stock.
  • Vagueness Is Coming: Falco, unable to explicitly explain the situation going on behind the scenes regarding Team Ganon, tells Team Falcon that they should stay away from New Pork City. Marth comments that there's something dangerous on the horizon after he leaves.
Falco: Look, I'm sorry. But there's a lot of crap going on right now.
    Marth: Enlighten me.
Falco: I can't! ...Not right now. All I can tell you is to stay away from New Pork City for a while.
  • Wham Episode
  • Wham Line:
    • When Mario still believes that Bowser was evil enough that he took a sadistic pleasure in defeating him. However, Fox plays back what exactly happened after Mario died, which adds further context behind the perception of Bowser's actions.
Bowser: It's true. I watched Mario die that day. But when I did...I was in tears.
    • Two near the end of the episode. Once Mewtwo fully forgives Bowser for what happened back in Melee, he's suddenly overcome by a strange power. Then another voice that wasn't Mewtwo's is heard, which changes the relationship between Mewtwo and his supposed reincarnation as Lucario.
Lucario: Get...get out...get out of my body!
      [...]
      Bowser: No...you're not Mewtwo.
Lucario: You are correct. I am Lucario. The real one.
  • Wham Shot: After Mewtwo forgives Bowser, Lucario then takes over, expelling Mewtwo and revealing his newfound power: his Mega Evolution Ascent Mode.
  • Whole Episode Flashback: Everything about Bowser's past is finally revealed, from his romance with "Queen" Peach to the moments leading up to the transfer of the worlds.
