Hugo enters Eon's study one day and finds his robe on the ground next to a pile of dust, meaning Eon must have been vaporized. He and Jet-Vac gather Spyro, Stealth Elf and Eruptor in the academy’s basement to interrogate them on what they did last night, as all three of them were found unconscious outside Eon's study.
This episode provides examples of:
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Had Hugo just said that there was security footage of the night before, he and Jet-Vac wouldn't have had to interrogate Spyro, Stealth Elf and Eruptor and have an easier way of finding out what happened with clear evidence. Hugo's reason for hiding this? Because he didn't want to be caught eating Eon's lunches.
- Destroy the Evidence: At the end of the episode, Spyro destroys the security footage of the last night because at one point, Strykore shows up to check on him. He does feel guilty for doing it, however.
- Failed a Spot Check: Eruptor claims to have been up all night watching all eight movies in the "Undead Invasion" series and that’s why he was so afraid the following day. Stealth Elf then points out that there’s only one "Undead Invasion" movie and that Eruptor just watched the same movie eight times without realizing it.Eruptor: Now that I think about it, the plots did seem rather recycled.
- Failure Is the Only Option: After the villains have had a string of failures in gathering treasure that they are gonna use to buy food, they finally got some when they plundered the Rampant Ruins. But that ended up not panning out for them because of Kaos giving all of their riches to Strykore in an attempt to impress him. Subverted by the end of the episode, where even if the map Kaos got didn't lead them to where they wanted, the toy store they instead arrived at had a huge barbeque as part of its grand opening.
- Meat-O-Vision: During the villains' trip to "Arkus", Wolfgang sees a cloud that resembles a chicken plate and Chompy Mage hallucinates Chompy Puppet as a hamburger.
- "Rashomon"-Style: Spyro, Stealth Elf, and Eruptor all tell what they did last night when Eon was supposedly vaporized, witnessing different moments differently.
- Surprisingly Happy Ending: For Kaos and the Doom Raiders. After Kaos gave away all of their treasure meant for food, he acquired a map that he thought led to Arkus, but was instead just a toy store that shared a similar name. But as part of the toy store's opening day, they were hosting a big barbeque, thus finally giving the Doom Raiders food for their stomachs, allowing Kaos to be spared their wrath. But Pepper Jack lets him know that he's off the hook for just this one time.Pepper Jack: You got lucky this time, Cap'n. But like my auntie always said, there ain't always gonna be a barbeque to get you out of trouble.Kaos: Your aunt always said that?Pepper Jack: Yeah, she was an odd woman. Wise, but odd.
