Tropes
- Bittersweet Ending: Both Jonsey and Nikki decide to break up by the end of the episode, but agree to stay friends. While Nikki is more relieved by the stress off her back, admitting that the two need to grow up more before they could try again, Jonsey looks miserable in the final shot.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Tricia does a lot of terrible things to Caitlin throughout the episode, including ordering her spicy spring rolls that burn her mouth, putting posters everywhere that label her as a "boyfriend stealer," and even having her banned from every store in the mall. And this was all because Caitlin was dating a boy Tricia used to like.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Tricia and her friends get their comeuppance for messing with Caitlin after her and Jen confront them at the mall fountain which results in a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown. Unfortunately for Caitlin, Zane happens to be watching the fight which results in him breaking up with her considering that he thinks she's more concerned about her conflict with Tricia and her friends then with him.
- Pubescent Braces: Tricia got these in Grade 8, resulting in her boyfriend dumping her.
