The episode begins with Jalebi waking up on her birthday to the sound of her alarm clock playing "Happy Birthday to You". A few seconds later, Samosa calls her on the phone asking for help. Jalebi promptly goes to Samosa's house, where he's having trouble putting together a radio. Jalebi proceeds to help him put the radio together, which he thanks her for. When she asks him if he has anything to say besides "thank you", expecting him to say "happy birthday", he only replies with more "thank you"s, which frustrates Jalebi.
Dhokla then calls Jalebi on the phone, requesting some help of his own. Jalebi goes to Dhokla's house to find he's tangled in a bunch of lights. Jalebi untangles him from the lights, but when he thanks her for helping, he doesn't get the hint when she asks if he has anything to say besides "thank you", making her frustrated again.
Jalebi then goes home to relax a bit, but Vada calls her, again to ask for help - this time, he needs to get off of an escalator in the Masala Mall which has stopped working. Jalebi uses an app called Gargle Maps to locate the Masala Mall, and helps Vada off of the escalator. Vada then says he wants to say something, which Jalebi sceptically lets him. He shouts "happy birthday!", revealing a surprise party planned out by Samosa, Dhokla, and Vada. The three sing "Happy Birthday to You" to Jalebi, and the party's other attendees join in on the song. Then the birthday cake arrives, and Jalebi blows out the candles.
The next day, Vada wakes up on his birthday to the sound of his alarm clock playing "Happy Birthday to You". A few seconds later, Jalebi calls him on the phone and wishes him a happy birthday. The episode ends with Vada suddenly asking why he doesn't get a surprise party like Jalebi.
"Jalebi's Birthday" contains the following tropes:
- Acronym and Abbreviation Overload: When Jalebi talks about her various accomplishments to Vada as she is helping him to climb the escalator, she shortens her speech to several acronyms when he tells her to hurry up.Jalebi: I am C.F.O., C.E.O., C.B.R., B.C.B., O.A.B., V.P., M.V.P., M.D.!
- Ageless Birthday Episode: The fact that it's a birthday episode is right there in the title. Not once in the episode is Jalebi's age ever specified.
- Chekhov's Gun: Samosa's radio, Dhokla's lights, and Vada being stuck on an escalator turn out to play major parts in Jalebi's birthday party - Samosa uses the radio to play "Happy Birthday to You"; Dhokla's lights are used as party decorations; and Vada being stuck on the escalator is used to lure Jalebi into the Masala Mall to give her the surprise party.
- Continuity Nod: Before Jalebi helps Vada up the escalator, she mentions that "I even saved that fly", a reference to the episode "Makkhi Makkhi!" where she helps a fly get unstuck from her head. The second English dub replaces the reference, instead having her say she saved a lifeguard.
- Crowd Chant: Everyone attending Jalebi's birthday party cheers "Ja-le-bi! Ja-le-bi!" as they encourage Jalebi to speak into the microphone from Samosa's jukebox.

- Gratuitous French: In the first English dub, when Jalebi asks Dhokla if he has anything to say besides "thank you", he responds with "merci, merci, gracias, gracias!", which are French and Spanish for "thank you" respectively. In the second English dub, he says "merci beaucoup, mon ami" ("thank you very much, my friend") instead.
- Gratuitous Spanish: In the first English dub, when Jalebi asks Dhokla if he has anything to say besides "thank you", he responds with "merci, merci, gracias, gracias!", which are French and Spanish for "thank you" respectively. - Here We Go Again!: Subverted. The episode ends with Vada waking up on his birthday and getting a call from Jalebi who, instead of asking for help with anything, just tells him "happy birthday" then and there.Vada: What? There is no surprise party for me?
- Modesty Towel: When Jalebi gets a call from Vada, she has just come out of the shower and is wearing nothing but a towel.
- Not-So-Forgotten Birthday: Samosa, Dhokla, and Vada don't acknowledge Jalebi's birthday, leading her to believe they've forgotten. This turns out not to be the case, as after she helps Vada off of the escalator in the Masala Mall, she's treated to a surprise party.
- Rule of Symbolism: Jalebi's increasing frustration with her friends not giving her a "happy birthday" is reflected in how pictures of her with her friends end up being shaken by her slamming the door as she leaves her besties' houses. The first time, a picture of her and Samosa is tilted slightly; the second time, a picture of her and Dhokla drops off the part of the wall it was hanging on.
- Running Gag: Jalebi's friends give more responses of "thank you" instead of the answer of "happy birthday" she was expecting when she asks if they have anything to say besides "thank you". At the birthday party, Samosa asks Jalebi if she has anything to say besides "thank you", and she replies by saying another "thank you". Vada then asks the same question, to which she replies by saying she's already said "thank you". This prompts Vada to say he has something to say - or sing, rather, as he immediately starts singing "Happy Birthday to You".
- Surprise Party: Samosa, Dhokla, and Vada give Jalebi a surprise party in the Masala Mall.
- Unraveled Entanglement: Jalebi helps Dhokla to untangle himself from a bunch of LED lights he somehow managed to tangle himself in.
