Here Goes Mutton

Original air date: 3/31/2002

In the twenty-fifth and penultimate episode of Sheep in the Big City, Farmer John becomes a football player, while Sheep comes down with amnesia from a "light" hit on the head.

"Here Goes Mutton" contains examples of:

  • A Day in the Limelight: The episode is chiefly about Farmer John becoming a football player, while Sheep has a minor side plot.
  • Easy Amnesia: Parodied when Sheep gets a light hit on the head and spends the majority of the episode walking around in a daze and acting as different animals and objects, since he can't remember who he is. Towards the end of the episode, Private Public, General Specific and Farmer John all end up giving each other easy amnesia and regaining their memories randomly, and Ben Plotz accidentally does it to himself while complaining and demonstrating about how ridiculous how just a light hit on the head causes amnesia that easily.
  • Epic Fail: A highly unsuccessful football team called the Big City Fuzzy Little Bunnies is said to have lost 14 out of 13 games (they somehow lost one game twice). Near the end, they go against a team called the Tri-state Evil Killer Death Team and the score reads 83 for their opposing team and -5 for themselves.
  • Non Sequitur, *Thud*: Farmer John says something funny upon being knocked out:
Farmer John: Can I please be excused from the table, mommy?
