Otis is furious to discover his mother has written an unpublished book, detailing his sexual repression.
At school, Otis and Maeve are summoned to Mr Groff's office. He has discovered Sean's drugs on the premises, and questions Maeve about her regular meet-ups with Otis. Maeve claims the drugs are hers, and Mr Groff schedules a tribunal to consider Maeve's expulsion. At the tribunal, Maeve points out that she deserves a second chance - she is extremely intelligent, and was just unlucky, the behaviour of her family, and how little support she gets. Maeve then tearfully breaks up with Jackson, who's aware of her feelings for Otis, but begs Mr Groff to let her return. Even from his star pupil, Mr Groff does not take bribes.
Eric returns from his suspension, and is forced to spend detention with Adam. After Adam spends several minutes irritating Eric, they end up fighting, and then start kissing, and have oral sex. The next day, Eric is excused from detention - he passes Adam's house on a bike ride, and sees his mother saying goodbye to her son, as he's shipped off to military school.
Jean apologises to Otis for her intrusive behaviour. She offers him a lift, but Otis has something to do. He swipes Adam's award from Mr Groff's office, and addresses it to the rightful owner - Maeve. Jean visits Jakob, and they discuss their feelings for one another. Meanwhile, Otis makes up with Ola at the supermarket. Maeve makes her way to Otis' house, but is heartbroken when she sees him kissing Ola. The kiss is enough to arouse Otis, leading him to masturbate and orgasm.
