Leave the Camera Running: According to legend, when Joey repeatedly says "Cookie Monster" and laughs as she and Kermit try to sing "The Alphabet Song," instead of stopping tape and so forth, the camera was left running because of the natural humor. The segment was repeated well into the 1990s and is often considered one of the show's cornerstone segments.
