In this episode of Sesame Street, Bob introduces the viewers to a kid named T.J. Unfortunately, T.J. is unable to speak or understand what somebody is saying because he is deaf. This is why Bob is using his hands to communicate. It's called "Sign-Language". Bob teaches Elmo what is Sign-Language. Later: Oscar starts his own junkband (which annoys Bob and Gordon).

  • Face Palm: When Betty Lou gets shocked at Carl on The Triangle is Right when Carl answered "A Circle".
  • Silence Is Golden: Bob shows what it's like to be deaf; he tells Elmo to imagine the world without sound. Elmo can't hear Gordon playing his flute, Barkley playing in the arbor, or kids playing basketball nearby. Elmo realizes that Sesame Street is a very noisy place.
