Also known as the "Uh-oh" episode.

Quinn insists that he is going on vacation, and Murphy equally insists that he's going nowhere cause he's needed there at Sealab. Quinn tries to assuage his fears by programming a hologram that looks like Murphy to help him out, but Murphy promptly uses it to turn on the intercom and order Stormy to cancel all trips to the surface until further notice. An angry Quinn declares that he'll be on vacation anyway.

As Quinn tries to relax in the moon pool (and decides to get himself some liquor), Murphy goes camping with the hologram. Debbie and Marco come by with covered dishes only to find that Quinn isn't answering his door (that has a message declaring him on vacation on it). When Marco suggests that Quinn is in there with a hooker, Debbie gets angry.

What follows is a long sequence of people going "uh-oh!", including the robot and Ben from "All That Jazz", Master Lu from "Murphy Murph and the Feng Shui Bunch", Dolphin Boy, Murphy (with the hologram pushing him around in the Murphmobile), Hesh, Sparks, Chopper Dave (from the Show Within a Show briefly featured on "Out of Time"), Lenin, a monkey in space, and aliens probing a redneck.

Marco tries to calm her down by saying he meant Quinn was watching T.J. Hooker but promptly screws it up by saying he was watching it with a prostitute. The "uh-oh" sequence starts again, but with added dialogue and actions to spruce it up. The robot crushes Ben, Master Lu's head floats away, Dolphin Boy is run over by Murphy, Chopper Dave turns into a werewolf, Lenin is mauled by a bear, the monkey is high on Stimutacs and vodka, and the redneck asking for the probe to be placed back in his butt.

As Debbie tries to bang down Quinn's door, the "uh-oh" sequence tries to start again, but the bear comes to maul the first man that says it and has his own sequence of events, in which he snowboards, visits the Tinfins premiere, visits a club, visits a gay club, visits a club which appears to be Quinn's destination (it was reserved for the "Black Sealab Characters Reunion Dance", Quinn's badge is on the sign in table, and Debbie Love asks the bear if he's seen Quinn), briefly visits a redneck club where Alvis is waiting in line and the redneck is abducted again, and finally enters a club for bears. This last sequence turns out to be a Bebop Cola advertisement and Quinn is seen passing by before confronting Debbie and Marco at his door.

He confirms that he hasn't been in his room at all and is glad that Marco brought his mother's famous tamales. Debbie asks why Marco would claim Quinn was sleeping with a prostitute and Quinn asks who painted the message on his door. The "uh-oh" sequence tries to start again, but the three of them yell "SHUT UP!". Murphy then comes by, still being pushed by the hologram, and asks Quinn how his vacation is.

The Stinger: An agent telling the bear that he's broke, cause he bought The Six Million Dollar Man and said man ran away.

Tropes

  • Overly Long Gag: Most of the episode is taken up by a ridiculously long chain of characters going "Uh-oh!", then another one that's even longer.
  • Smart Ball: Played for Laughs. Murphy initially thinks the holo-Murphy is a doppelganger and then asks how he can feed it... but when Quinn is about to leave for his vacation, Murphy suddenly grasps enough of how it works to activate the intercom and cancel all shore leave.
