As Turk and Carla return from their honeymoon, J.D. prepares for his first day as a qualified doctor. Elliot is still infuriated with him over their break-up. The hospital has a new psychiatrist, the somewhat dippy Dr Molly Clock. Dr Cox warns J.D. he still has much to learn.
- All Men Are Perverts: When Elliot offers to rub ointment on Molly's burned thighs, the cafeteria is suddenly full of interested men, including someone hanging from the ceiling. They're audibly disappointed when Molly declines.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: Molly is spacey and insists she and JD were in the middle of a conversation and that his name is Jimmy.JD: What floor?
Molly: Oh my god, we're in an elevator. - Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Turk buys scooters for himself, JD, and Carla after their car, Malik, dies. And explodes. Blue for JD, green for Turk, and pink for Carla.
- Comically Missing the Point: Elliot says she's feeling lonely and needs a friend, and Molly, also feeling lonely, asks if she wants to go out for coffee. Elliot says she can't, gotta hop on the internet and go on a friend hunt.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: Carla tells Cox her first year of marriage won't be like his, because she throws Turk a bone every once in while, letting him make a decision when she doesn't really care. She's let him pick the car, because all that matters is it has four wheels and a roof. Then Turk shows up with three scooters.
- Platonic Life-Partners: Turk and JD rush all across the hospital to find each other after Turk gets back from his honeymoon.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Janitor tells JD their game is over because he's done with his residency. Nope, not over.
