- Early-Installment Weirdness: An adult version of the Muppets are included in the series, which would eventually by dropped in the second season, as the writers hated working with them.
- The show is entitled NBC's Saturday Night because of the ABC show Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell, which only aired for 18 episodes, and they were able to use the full title in the 2nd season.
