- Shoutout: Nearly every scene in the anime intro pays homage to a different anime title, the list too long to quote titles.
- The Reveal: There's a scene in the anime intro where the Sides are clasified according to their status as Light Sides or Dark Sides... and it is revealed for the first time that Virgil is placed in the middle, not entirely a Light Side, but not entirely a Dark Side either. Up to that point it was believed he was a Dark Side in the past but now was Light, and the Dark Sides like Janus believed if he was once Dark he would always be Dark no matter how hard he tried, but this reveal changed everything.
- Overly Long Scream: The Sides are shown all screaming non stop after the anime intro ends. At first it seems that they're reacting to the anime intro which they dislike... until we see Patton is holding a bowl with a substance in flames and, naturally, they're all screaming at the fire.
