Up, Up, and Away consists of:

Spreading Rumors consists of:

  • An Aesop: For whatever reason, never spread rumors about anyone. Rumors are a dangerous thing and can hurt the people you spread them about. Also, Dongwa learns that one should never take a rumor at face value.
  • Both Sides Have a Point: Played with. It's a rare case of both sides admitting they did something wrong. Sagwa apologizes and admits it was careless of her to start a rumor about Hun-Hun. Dongwa also admits it was his fault for believing the rumor about Hun-Hun on face value, without stopping to think if it was true or not.
  • Everybody Has Standards: Jet-Jet may be a jerk from time to time, but when Sagwa makes up a rumor that she witnessed Hun-Hun stealing shrimp from kittens, Jet-Jet is taken aback that anyone would ever steal from kittens.
Jet-Jet: Stealing food from kittens? That's awful.
  • Gossip Evolution: Sagwa's rumor about Hun-Hun was supposed to be a relatively harmless story about how she stole shrimp from kittens. But as it passed on from cat to cat, it grew to the point where, by the time it got back to Sagwa, it was far worse. The rumor practically demonizes Hun-Hun as a liar who's mean to kittens and steals food.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Sagwa realizes that the rumor she made up has gotten out of hand, and goes to find a way to stop it.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Jet-Jet shows Sagwa where Dongwa is, where he is playing with Hun-Hun at the alley.
