Sabrina uses her magic powers to create a sweet Halloween party, much to the ire of a jealous Gem, who tries to ruin it.

Tropes:

  • And Then I Said:
Gem: So I said, puh-lease, no one wears pearls with a nose ring! Especially not after Labor Day!
  • Barbershop Quartets Are Funny: Sabrina gets some magical help finding entertainers for the party, one of which being a headless barbershop quartet.
  • Cue the Falling Object: While Uncle Quigley is disappointed in the girls for their Halloween mischief, he’s proud of them for telling the truth and says he’s only grounding them for two weeks. Cue a giant green monster falling through the ceiling, landing on him, and eating his prized Missouri-shaped potato chip. He then changes the grounding to three weeks.
  • Furry Reminder: While Salem acts like a human more often than not, he easily gives in to Sabrina’s request for help with her party after a few chin scratches.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Sabrina’s spell to help her make pizzas for the party works so well that it starts making a huge amount of pizza and completely wrecks the kitchen.
  • Halloween Episode
  • Hint Dropping: Sabrina tries dropping hints to Gem about going to her Halloween party, but Gem sees right through it.
  • Lethal Chef: Apparently Sabrina is such a bad cook that Salem suggests they’ll need a stomach pump as one of the cooking supplies. He may not be too far off with that sarcastic statement, seeing how bad her attempts to make pizza without magic end up.
  • Mistaken Identity: Pi’s monster mask is so convincing that it makes Sabrina think he’s one of the magical creatures that has crashed her party and locks him away in the cellar with the rest of the monsters.
  • Monster Clown: One of the magical entertainers that shows up at Sabrina’s Halloween party is a zombie clown.
  • One-Man Band: The entertainment that Sabrina hired for her party for only $10 ended up being a hillbilly one-man band that played “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and left. You Get What You Pay For.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is based on an early Pillsbury commercial in which the Pillsbury Doughboy says, “Nothin’ says lovin’ like something from the oven!”
  • Soda Can Shakeup: Gem does this to try to sabotage Sabrina’s party.
  • Shout-Out: Gem is dressed as Snow White for Halloween.
  • Too Old to Trick-or-Treat: Pi wants to go trick-or-treating for Halloween, but Harvey thinks they’re too old. Pi tries to convince him by saying it’s their last time to act like immature pre-teens. Strangely enough, they don’t go trick-or-treating at all and end up crashing Sabrina’s party.
  • Uninvited to the Party: Poor Sabrina, she’s literally the only one not invited to Gem’s party. Granted, she doesn’t like Gem and doesn’t actually want to go but she also doesn’t want to be the only one not going.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Chloe calls out Sabrina for almost ruining her own party due to being so preoccupied with impressing Gem.
  • Wild Teen Party: More like a wild pre-teen party, but still.
