Fan Submitted Content/Guest Strip: The episode was based on "fill in the blank script" posts on Reddit. - Makes Just as Much Sense in Context: "Super Mafia Bros" turns out to be a group of vegetables whose souls were stolen by Fuego the Water Bottle, who used their souls as pizza toppings to turn people into communists. Later, Mario somehow clones himself by taking the FitnessGram pacer test.Mario: But... but that makes no sense-
Cucumber: Don't worry Mario. None of this does! - Not Me This Time: When Mario asks who the hell is writing the episode, SMG4 shows up to tell him that the episode is out of his hands this time.
- Serial Escalation: The episode starts with Mario wanting spaghetti in Smash, then Mario surrenders his soul to FM and Cube, then he teams up with a bunch of vegetables to get their souls back, then Mario's sent to the moon to get his soul back.
- Your Soul Is Mine!: The fans attempted to invoke this with FM, but the final video shows that FM was only using it to defeat the Swag impostor, and Mario gave it to him willingly.
