Mario gets mistaken for a Shy Guy and gets taken to a secret Shy Guy village. There, Mario discovers that the Shy Guys are planning to take over the kingdom (and steal their food), so he teams up with a Shy Guy who mistakes him for his mother.
- All for Nothing: The leader's plan to take over the world fails because all of his minions spent their time in the kingdom shopping instead of attacking. Also, his toy car sucks and is apparently illegal, so he's arrested.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Crazy Guy accidentally kills both Awesome Guy and himself with a Pingas train when Awesome Guy was about to attack Mario.
- Origins Episode: A stealth one for Toast Guy.
- Paper-Thin Disguise:
- Done unintentionally by Mario when he falls face first into a bag of weed. It causes Shy Guys to think that he's one of them.
- Steve Guy is just Steve wearing a mask. No one questions him.
- Scooby-Dooby Doors: Mario does this in four vases, once Steve gets tired of this, he uses a rocket launcher, which kills him, as for Mario, he appears in another 4 vases.
- Shout-Out: Awkward Guy is based on Kenny from South Park and Awesome Guy is based on Deadpool.
- Skewed Priorities: Mario's completely fine with the Shy Guys taking over the Mushroom Kingdom. The only reason he intervenes is because the leader mentions that they'll steal the kingdom's food as well.
- Stealth Prequel: The ending reveals that the Shy Guy who helped Mario would go on to become known as Toast Guy.
